Notice of rights of entry for Electricity account Empty Notice of rights of entry for Electricity account

Post by janloot Tue Aug 06, 2019 2:18 pm

Good afternoon members Wink

A friend of mine came home today to be greeted by the following Hand Delivered letter:

Notice of rights of entry for Electricity account Green_10

My friend is not the "Mr" or "occupier" named on the letter.

The amount quoted on the account balance is under £200

Can they really obtain a rights of entry warrant for such a small amount?
Can they forcibly fit a prepayment meter?
Should my friend contact the energy company/debt collector?
My friend  is registered disabled..............

all input greatly received       Wink

Notice of rights of entry for Electricity account Empty Re: Notice of rights of entry for Electricity account

Post by LionsShare Tue Aug 06, 2019 3:13 pm

please see in this thread most of the info you require.

https://goodf.forumotion.com/t3622-down-memory-lane

The "boards" act 1954 is purely for entry or entry for health & safety. It is NOT for money dispute.

please read the 1954 Act from start to finish, it is only about 4 sides of A4 & quite small.

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/Eliz2/2-3/21/contents

then read about legislation for install on pre pay meters, essentially they are suppose to ask your permission to install, & can easily in theory be removed as though any agreement to install was never made. The practical side is however far more daunting, with nigh on impossible to get removed by the utility companies, best off get your own installed.

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2006/2010/contents/made

you can easily find the one for gas yourself, pay attention to section4 of the above act, same for gas.

https://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2006/2010/regulation/4/made

what if they are forcefully installed? The only thing to do as stated is get your own installed, as others have seen from courts all over the country there is a strong chance your friend will be railroaded & ultimatly lose. - sorry for the down troden message but its life at the mo. Just as the news of mortgage swindle is coming out, hopefully the skullduggery of this will as well & we should then hopefully get that which is ours by entitlement & right.

Always write to the util Co & state you will have nothing to do with dca's but if it gets taht far then write to dca & state only if it can be proven in a court of law the OC gats paid NOT dca.

Being vulnerable others here will be able to help.

feel free to ask questions, if I could make it all go away I would but.....

remember this is theft of equity from all. The courts & these util Co's lie all the time to steal from us, that's it.

anyway good luck & keep us all posted.

LS

Hi ,I have done a little digging, the best I can come up with is this;
https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/debt-and-money/action-your-creditor-can-take/bailiffs/how-bailiffs-should-treat-you/how-bailiffs-should-treat-you-if-youre-vulnerable/

and this;

Totally agree with some of the centiment of what citizens advice state, but reading section4 of both acts stated should be more than enough for all.

If you read the whole of it, most of it is wrong, why should you prove anything to anyone when these damn util Co's don't even prove a debt is owed? I could go on but....

Hi, shouldn't we all ask the question
What does Mr or Mrs actually mean?
Mr has several, so which is relevent?

I chose, master as i was called as a boy
Anything else addressed to Mr (or Mrs on a Tuesday night!) I can't hear. Because I'm not in their jurisdiction, just like they can't hear you if you're alive

Damn high heels!

just like "you", when receiving addressd to Mr Mrs etc., in the narrative the claim is generally for "you", so who/what is "you"?

Exactly LS, who is it addressed to? Can we assume, can we afford to assume, do we have the time to assume? Assuming is the mother of all F Ups!

They need to answer...who exactly is this addressed to?
We need to know (if/when they detail), who are they taking to. Then we choose (because we know...where we really stand and live) how we reply.

Where do you live? Here, in my body!

this company are regulated by the FCA the ONLY permission they have is debt collecting

so read their letter carefully , they cannot carry out any of their threats, they do not have the power to do so.

warrant for right of entry to do what ? ask you to give them some money ?

they cannot cut off your supply and they cannot install a new meter they are debt collectors and nothing more they need reporting for intimidation.

TRUE but be careful!
waylander62 wrote:they cannot install a new meter they are debt collectors
THEY will force new meters with the help of the corrupt courts many have seen this over & over!

Agree but what will it acheive? Who will be held accountable? Who will suffer on THEIR side?

Sounds like a result.  So was it a screw up by the supplier?
