£56k alleged debt - bankruptcy advice needed Empty £56k alleged debt - bankruptcy advice needed

Post by Stevro Mon Oct 16, 2017 11:27 pm

Hi all,

I've posted on the previous forum and this one a few times now. I won't go into too much detail, but allegedly owe around £56k of unsecured debts to a group of 7 or 8 Shylocks (mostly big banks).

I started the 3 letter process in Jan 2017. I have had the usual variety of responses you read about here.

My Q is, as I am currently unemployed with no savings and renting, should I go bankrupt?

My option is to continue with the cat and mouse game, but I may get a job very soon and possibly couldn't become bankrupt.

Only asset is my car, worth around £9k.

Thanks!

What's the downside of going bankrupt?

Hi stevro,

If it were me I would start with the 3 new letters .

When sending a rebuttal notice to a DCA last year (my final alleged debt) .I added this to the end of it :

" You may wish to note that I do not own this or any other dwelling ,I do not own a vehicle. All items ,goods & property in or upon the land known as xx xxxxxx xxxxxxxx or any other location are not owned by me and I hold title to nothing.
Also that I do not now or at any time in the future require credit."

All you need to do is get ownership of your car into a trusted relatives name, Also draw up a sales agreement and a receipt for all the things you own.also with a trusted relative .

The only thing is ,its vital that the dates on these agreements / receipts pre date any bailiff involvement.

Remember whichever parasite is chasing you ,its all about the money .If you can show you have nothing ,they are not going to waste money.
It worked for me ,so maybe worth a go.

Thanks for this. All good to know. I'm about to post a new question to the forum that you've just answered. I'm keen to hear what others say so too, so will do that now.
