Registering as self employed as uber driver
Hey guy do you think if I don't register with hmrc as self employed, that I may face trouble in the future. It just feels wrong to pay these thieves anything.
But the problem is uber took my national insurance so it make come up on hmrcs system.

Re: Registering as self employed as uber driver
I think it might cause problems for you, mainly because there will be a paper trail that could be checked. I've never registered when I have been self employed and I've never had an accountant either but everything I have done in the past has been cash and sometimes I have took bank transfers but not for an amount that would cause questions to be asked. I hope someone else can give you a bit better advice.
Jinxer- Very helpful

Re: Registering as self employed as uber driver
Hi
Lion - it's as simple as it looks really. If you wish to pay tax, register as self-employed. Don't register if you don't wish to pay tax.....but i'm sure you know this.
The only way to achieve what you really seem to be asking is to 'know thyself'.
After that you will 'fear not'.
Cheers!
