BW Legal
Has anyone had any recent dealings with BW Legal?
Had a letter from them threatening action at the end of October. Sent a pre action letter back to them 2 weeks ago but no reply yet.
Had a look around and they seem to be the creme de la creme of the scum of the earth.
Apparently they send out 1000's of these. I've got conflicting info at both ends of the scale.
On one hand they go to court at the drop of a hat. Other instances I saw were them being destroyed in court.
Not scared of them but would like to be prepared just in case they play hard ball.

Re: BW Legal
No recent dealings with them, but it'll be interesting to see how they deal with the new pre action conduct procedure.jss64 wrote:Has anyone had any recent dealings with BW Legal?

BW Legal
Just received this from them today.
Noticed that this was in reply to my Section 78 request and not the pre action conduct letter.
Prac Financial never responded to my Section 78 request and I dealt with this in 2012 when Equidebt tried it on unsuccessfully, so I don't know what BW think will happen.

Re: BW Legal
Hi Tiggy
According to my Callcredit report, (nothing on Experian or Equifax) the default date was 01/07/2012.
It also says date default satisfied 0/012/2016. What does that mean?

The date on your credit report will probably be the date you initially defaulted, it can take them many months to issue the formal default notice. So you're probably up to a year away from this debt being statute barred.
The date in December 2016 was probably the date it was sold to the DCA by the Original Creditor.
