Well, its half term again and this year we have the recycling challenge to keep the village kids occupied, and many of their friends not from the village; unlike most children the village children dont want to be sat around on their backsides, stuck in front of a computer moniter getting unfit and fat, and they dont need to keep badgering their parents to spend money on them to keep them occupied as they all have enough intelligence to occupy themselves, or simply be children.

They have one week to complete the challenge which is to take any piece of rubbish which would normally be thrown out for scrap and turn it into something that can be reused, it can be anything they choose, and they can turn it into anything they choose, so there are very few rules, ingenuity will come into play and they can get extra points for ingenuity, they each have a budget of £10 to spend (with receipts) but they can use anything else they can recycle.

Judging will be done at 5.00 pm on Saturday by the parents and then everything will be put online to be sold, I am told there are specific sites to do this; and the one making the highest profit will collect the highest amount of points.

There will only be one winner and everyone else will be losers, no PC brigade here, and as of 9 am this morning they began their challenge. What is interesting is the amount of friends not from the village who want to have a go and have been allowed to enter.

Agenda 21 in schools, not surprised kids like the idea - but just pay your taxes/fines/demands etc. when your older to the EU/UN/Banks and we'll fix it, bit like, we'll cure cancer ....err.... sometime Rolling Eyes
