Acting agent or debt purchaser??

Post by stormy121 on Fri Apr 20, 2018 8:08 pm

So im actually unsure if Lowell have bought this debt or not, the opening line is,

Your (talktalk/orange etc) account remains unpaid. We are now deciding whether to transfer your account to our solicitors to take legal action against you to recover this debt.

Does that sound like they are acting as an agent or have actually bought the alleged debt?

suggest to them that you will pay what you might lawfully owe on the condition that they:

provide you with the full accounting that brought the account into existence and the full accounting from that time to now.

provide you with proof that you were given full disclosure in the agreement. Disclosure in accordance with the principles of contract law.

someone within the company who has the authority to bind the company in contract has signed the agreement using their usual and wet signature. One cannot have a self executing contract.

And ask them if they're they making a claim against JOHN DOE or John Doe?
