LBA by email?

Can anyone advise please if a LBA sent by email is sufficient?

The other party confirmed receipt in a recorded phone conversation and here it states: "The claim form is even deemed to have been served if the claimant knows that the defendant has left that address – unless they know the defendant’s new address." -

Would it require a snail-mail back-up including proof of posting or signed for or can I simply proceed by submitting the claim-form to the CC?

E-mail is not actually recognised in law and unless you have a contract with the recipient you cannot use it as they simply deny it and delete it.

If you sent a copy by post you can draft it and then print it, you then sign it and COPY THE SIGNED DOCUMENT and keep it in your files, never make the classic mistake of printing two copies off and signing one and posting it and keeping the unsigned one as this has been defined as "not a true copy of the original document" as it is not a copy of a signed document.
