Hi all, hopefully my attatchment is bellow, Essex and Suffolk water have sent my new bill with last one’s charges on it, now should I deduct this and just endorse for the amount of new charges or just endorse as is? Want to get this right so they have no loophole to get out!
Any help would be gratefull

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
the only way to endorse is when the paper work has the correct amount & dates on it. it looks like they are trying to get paid 2ice for the full amount. how can you deduct an amount?

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
£73.56 is from last bill so they have just added this on, so my way of thinking (probably wrong) was to deduct this from the £128.25 stating that they had already been paid from previous bill? this is where experience comes in which at the moment I clearly haven't got lol

Ive endorsed as is so lets see if they either send this one back or write to tell me they dont accept em, which I have already printed out their articles/memorandum of associations ready to send em with another notorial protest. Sorry to keep on fella im just new and nervous of doing this as I think we all were at one point until we see the light through the trees lol

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
Hi everyone yes its been a while!!
So got yet another bill from E&S water, done the usual endorsing but the buggers have sent it back with a letter stating that they will not correspond with me anymore on this matter, and if I dont pay legal action will be taken where I will have my chance to well lets say have my say (but we all know judges are like!) in front of the district judge, they did as mentioned in my last post send back the notarial protest so they are not budging on it, they also threatened me with legal action the last time but have not heard a thing since, any views opinions or suggestions where I go from here would obviously be very much appreciated

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
Hi Lionshare, it was the second link, with Ceylon in it, I have had no contact with them since the last bill, which I had endorsed the same and received a letter saying they would take legal action, they DID NOT return the endorsed document on that occasion, I ignored it and didnt hear a thing until they sent me this quarters bill, which I endorsed and sent them, they returned this one back to me with a letter saying:
That I am requesting them to consider my document as payment, and confirm it is not accepted and returned to me.
They also say they will not enter into dialogue on my views on payments as we are unable to agree, the will arrange for legal proceedings to be issued if payment is not received as requested, which will give me the opportunity to establish my statement that payment has been made before the district judge.
At this point I have done nothing awaiting some tips or help with the best way forward from you guys on here.
I am going to be honest I dont know what you mean by SAR (DPA2018)
Any further help would be most welcomed as I am prepared to fight these all the way
Regards

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
Hi,
SAR is a request for the information they hold about you (DPA2018) is Data Protection Act ,the Act which covers SAR.
You simply contact them and state " This is a Subject Access Request "Make sure you ask for ALL data they hold on you. There is no charge & they must supply within a month.

Hi daveiron, cool I can do that lol, can I be a total idiot here and ask the reason(s) for this? Will that help my case and if so in what way? I am so interested in how this all works but as you have probably worked out I am a bit of a knob ( just being honest!) when it comes to knowing about this stuff, ask me how a bus works n i’ll bore you to tears lol
Thanks for your time

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
Not sure how it may help here, but it may turn something up to your advantage.
I have not tried what you are doing as my water is included in my rent & thats paid for by
benefits now I am retired. LS is the guy I would go to for this method.
p.s. I know how buses work ,i drove them for 10 years a long time ago.

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
don't forget they want payment, they will threaten you to get you to pay, strongly advise you reasearch what "fiat currency" is (not easy to find) on the bank of england website, it can help calm any nerves you may have.

you wernt wrong saying 'fiat currency' will be hard to find!!! the only thing I could find on the BOE website was a link to another website to do with banking that mentioned 'fiat currency'

I wish I had kept the link back in the day.Sharpysparky wrote:you wernt wrong saying 'fiat currency' will be hard to find!!! the only thing I could find on the BOE website was a link to another website to do with banking that mentioned 'fiat currency'
The short is fiat currency - "funny" paper money (can't really call it money as money really ONLY pertains to precious metals), THE BRITISH £ is not backed by ANYTHING, so its worthless, therefore when utils Co(s) come after you for £££ ask how is their claim worth ANYTHING?
Simples!
eg
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_money
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/f/fiatmoney.asp
http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/fiat-currency.html
"Common type of currency issued by official order, and whose value is based on the issuing authority's guarantee to pay the stated (face) amount on demand, and not on any intrinsic worth or extrinsic backing. All national currencies in circulation, issued and managed by the respective central banks, are fiat currencies.

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
Hi all, so today I received a payment reminder letter from Essex and Suffolk water saying that I have outstanding water charges! I have until the 18th of June or as the letter states
“ please do not ignore this letter. We will take steps to collect the outstanding balance if the full amount is not received, or an agreement to spread payment over a longer time is not made by 18 June 2019. This may include legal action which would add extra costs to what you already owe”
They returned the joint giro saying they do not accept this type of payment on the 12 April, I was having a very rough time then and tbh I forgot all about it, so now this has turned up should I write to them? If so some templates or ideas of what to say would be great as they certainly aint giving up!
Be lucky

Re: Essex & Suffolk Water
sharpy,
Had the same myself, I would say don't worry too much. I know its easy to say that but remember from what has been written before.
Here as you have not sent in the notorial protest I take from what you wrote above, the reminder did it come with a new slip to sign?
If so endorse & carry on as before, if not then even as they have retruned the last you have at least made attempt to pay. Have a look at:
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/Vict/45-46/61/contents
sections 42,43 & 59 sect 1 & 3
you could write back asking why they have rejected your payment, I take it you would have stated this in narrative to accompany your 1st payment slip to them back when...
if you write back you could ask why they did not reply then. You already have a good template don't you?
they aint givin' up! nor should we!
