Wilkin Chapman LLP - NPower - Utility Debt
I had a fixed rate deal with NPower for a year and after 6 months they increased the monthly payments without warning. I refused to pay because I did not accept the amount they were asking for so they have decided to pass my account onto Wilkin Chapman LLP who are threatening me with court action unless I pay the amount to NPower immediately.
I have been successful in dealing with Debt agencies but need some advice on how to deal with these utility crooks please.
Thanks

Re: Wilkin Chapman LLP - NPower - Utility Debt
if its breaking an agreement then all you need is the agreement to show someone competent that they are making a mistake . On top of the mistake they are now causing distress .
You need to read all small print of the deal you signed up to to make sure they are breaking it but you should be able to claim compensation from them once they sort it out.

Re: Wilkin Chapman LLP - NPower - Utility Debt
It is probably in the small print that they can increase by a '#%'. That is normal and it's there to give them the ability to go up with inflation without consent, or rather it IS with your consent because one signs for it without reading it!
You will find its to do with inflation rather than an increase because if you shop for their new rates you will see them higher than when you applied!
A contract is a contract!
How long before you can get out?
