Family Trust paperwork

Post by Solosmurf on Fri Aug 17, 2018 3:01 pm

Are there any family trust letters on the site? I am hoping to sign a revocable trust making my son the trustee of everything in our home, giving him and myself the use of the contents. I don't have the money, or interest, to use an attorney but was hoping to be able to do it myself. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My reasoning is that I'm sick and tired of these companies being allowed to continually sell on debts to multiple debt collectors with no end insight. Signed for letters disputing the debt to the original creditor were not even acknowledged. I've dealt with two successfully, Lowells is just the latest and because I'd taken my eye of the ball they've managed to get a CCJ. I have no intention of paying this amount, even though they now seem to have issued a warrant of control.

you might also consider looking into Private Foundations. They are cheaper than trusts so lawyers and not recommend them but the Clintons and all those sorts of people use them so why not little people?

Private foundations are exempt from tax but if you want to transfer the family home into it there is a right way to do it.

Hi solosmurf,

This only my understanding ,so do a little research .
If you want to set up a trust thats great ,but be aware that if a trust is setup just before a claim may be made against you ,its classed as a sham trust .So it will not work as you want. Thats my understanding anyway .I am not saying do not set one up ,but be aware it may only be of use in the longer term.
