Brexit Survival Empty Brexit Survival

Post by assassin on Wed Jan 16, 2019 3:15 am

It had to happen, someone is selling brexit survival packs for £300 and claim they are not in it for the money! of course they are in it for the money as they are a company looking to exploit peoples fear and failure to prepare for this event even though we have known about it for a couple of years. This company said they are looking to help people survive brexit by supplying them with food packs with sufficient food to last for a month and someone looked into this and claims they priced this package up individually and before they launched this product you could buy all the individual items for less than £200, so they have hiked their prices up by 50% and given you a container, really.

Its not surprising how easily lying comes to these companies when money is to be made, and how easily they lie when they are looking to exploit a situation and just how guillable people are when they could do so much more for far less as it is easy to go shopping and stock up with tinned, bottled, or frozen goods and get enough seeds to grow your own fresh fruit and vegetables and have change from £300, and some people I know personally on very low incomes have stockpiled for the last couple of years by simply buying a couple of extra bits every week and thinking about what they are going to buy.

What have they bought? in most cases it is long life foods such as dried foods which include pasta, rice, and beans; tinned foods such as beans, tomatoes or spaghetti as they have long lives of years and not days, many have learned to preserve foods and bottled them when they are in season and cheap, and many have invested in kinetic energy lighting such as wind up torches and lanterns so they wind them for 1 minute and get around 90 minutes of lighting while others have bought leisure batteries and made their own 12 volt LED lighting for pennies and they simply need connecting to the battery and instant lighting with a very long life.

Personally, I grow my own food and as a village many of us do, we preserve lots of it and we have around 2 years worth of bottled and preserved fruit and veg, and as I produce my own electricity and gas we have sufficient capacity to disconnect ourselves from both European electricity and gas supplies and remain independant of them for a sustained period.

What have you done, or are doing?
