Collectica - Marston Holdings Empty Collectica - Marston Holdings

Post by chopstick Fri Mar 08, 2019 8:59 am

Hi all,
Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, if I'm not, my apologies.

Yesterday my partner received a letter from Collectica/Marston Holdings stating that she had not paid a fine of £660. Apparently a court order has been made that gives Enforcement Agents the power to visit. About a week ago she had a phone call from letting agent of her previous address saying the current tenant had been visited by bailiffs asking for her. She hasn't lived at this address for 17 months. The tenant had no idea who these people where or what they wanted, so there was no way to respond until now when she received the letter.

Neither of us have any idea what this fine can be for or where it has come from.

Not really sure how to proceed. The letter states that if we do not reply with 14 days Enforcement Agents will come to our address and she will be charged an additional £235 and if they take anything away she will be charged another £110.  The property is solely mine, I hold the deeds and the mortgage. All possessions TV, computer etc. belong to me. My partner pays me "rent" each month and I deal with all the bills.

Any advice on how to deal with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes
Rich

You state that everything belongs to you, thats good . What you need is to get together all documents
that you have to show this.

I can get documents to show house is in my name etc. but things like TV, I bought that years ago, before we even met. Any documents I had for that have long since gone. Same for other appliances in the house. The only stuff that's hers are things like CDs and DVDs and clothes. But all that stuff is lumped in with mine and there's no way of proving what belongs to who, and I don't think any of it would add up to the amount owed anyway.

But more importantly we have no idea what this is for. There is no explanation in the letter. She has checked her credit report and there is nothing on there. There are no points on her licence from a speeding fine. It could be something that she was never even liable for. Is there any way to contest it or defend against it?

Thanks again.

you need to find out what this all relates to ?

i think you can check out if there are any county court judgments against you. If there are no records of any then it will be a magistrates court issue.

I would also find out where this court order was made allowing these sh*ts to contact you.

also they may think they have the power to visit, but that is all they can do visit DONT let them in.

does it give any detail at all of what this is for or what court gave this order?
