Ok here goes.

I managed to get myself into a financial mess and have been in on for years, due initially to poor decisions then as I started to get back on track unfortunate circumstance! 3 credit cards with a Bank of Scotland, Halifax and Barclaycard (£7000, £6000, £14000) the first 2 have ended up with Wescot credit services ltd acting as agents (no payments have been made since December 2017) and the Barclaycard is about to default (no payments since October 2018).

Before I got into my current mess I had fallen into the payday loan trap but used the old site to get out of that trap with great success! So remembering that I went looking for it to help myself out of this situation only to find myself getting aggressively sold an IVA so I went looking for help else where and ended up on the white rabbit trust (WRT) / you and your cash (YAYC) website.  Their advice seemed broadly similar to what I remember from the old site, apart from it not being completely free!

So using the information from the WRT/YAYC I drafted some letters using the 3rd person method with me being the 3rd person just using a different name and address as the letters arriving at home and at my in laws house were causing a huge amount of stress. these letters have been sent to wescot regarding the BoS and Halifax cards.
But I have yet to send anything to Barclaycard as it is still with them as I spoke to them on the phone at the same time I was having an IVA aggressively pushed on me and they froze everything for 30 days so I have a small amount of time to work out my strategy to deal with them, probably the new 3 letter format I have seen on here also with a thought to going down the irresponsible lending route.

If anyone has time to cast their eye over my letters (attached) I'd be most grateful! Both letters were sent separately to the CEO signed for both have arrived and been signed for.

Welcome! Sorry to be a pain. but please can you create a separate post per credit card / pay day loan account? Otherwise it will be a nightmare for anyone trying to help you (and you!) not to get terribly muddled up...

Also never use any personal details / account numbers / references / dates etc. And IF you upload any docs, you must also mask the above info AND any potential document references / barcodes that can lurk at the bottom / on the edges...

Thanks for the quick reply. So the pay day loan is a success from the old site. And is a little irrelevant to my current situation other than I went looking for the old site to assist with my current situation.

BoS and Halifax credit cards are both at exactly the same stage with Wescot. And have both received exactly the same letters as above. Which I think I’ve removed all personal detail from the files I’ve uploaded.

I’ll create a new thread for the Barclaycard when I’ve worked if I’m going to approach it in the same “third person” manner or not.

As long as you're very organised / you keep proof of postage and ensure your letters to an from the debt purchasers / DCAs are only ever for one account (i.e. don't use any letter to cover several accounts!) you'll be fine Smile
