Statute of Marlborough

Post by daveiron on Thu May 18, 2017 10:15 pm

As I do not wish to divert from the thread concerning Liegh's case .I have started this one.

SOTS posted the Statute of Marlborough, It makes very interesting reading, chapter 15 (which has not been repealed) states;

"Chapter 15 sets out places in which distresses are forbidden to be taken,these include the Kings Highway and the common street.In other words actions to remedy a breach of some kind by one person against another may not be taken in the street ect."

The implications of that are mind blowing ,ie; cars clamped & or towed .vehicles seized in the street by plod.or bailiffs etc.

Ive just taken a look at this, my initial interpretation will need some work for clarification, but what it says is; "It shall be lawful for no Man from henceforth" they treat us as a person Evil or Very Mad and we would need to find the interpretations for distresses and fee..... We would also need to know if these interpretations are the ones used today i.e have changed over time or if they are still using its original meaning.
