Hi, I've just received a letter from Drydenfairfax solicitors on behalf of Arrow Global, how do I know which three letters to send (Debt Collection Agency or Debt Purchasers) how do I find out?

Hi,

If it’s from a solicitor then you’re past the 3 letter system I’m afraid. What is Drydenfairfax asking / stating? (Without giving any personal details away inc dates, suns etc) Ideally it’s best you do not upload a photo of the letter either because it’s easy to expose bar codes too etc...

They have been instructed by their client Arrow Global, to obtain repayment of the amount due of £****.** or to take appropriate recovery action should you fail to pay. If you are experiencing financial difficulties and unable to pay £****.** by 19.8.19 please do not hesitate to contact us to enable us to understand your circumstances and help you agree a repayment plan that is affordable and sustainable. It's for a credit card debt.

First, can I point you to your 19th March 2019 post where you have incurred an almost identical situation unless I'm mistaken (in which case, please forgive me)?

http://goodf.forumotion.com/t3395-arrow-transferred-to-drydensolicitors

How did you tackle that situation? as It is now some five months later and a lot must have happened / be learned in that time?

Did you send all three letters (specifically for debt purchasers not DCAs) to Arrow global for that credit card? What evidence, if any, did Arrow Global provide?

I would suggest at this point to treat them as debt collectors , Its a tactic used because folks panic at the mention
of the word solicitor. If they believe they have enough evidence they may proceed in the future so be prepared.
It looks like all they have sent so far is a collectors begging letter, not a letter before action.

Interesting point, never considered that. These debt purchasers / DCAs really are full of... What a disgusting and shameful way to earn a living.

Thanks for your replies, I will start with the alternative three letters to Dryden, one question on the alternative letters to DCA it says "Claiming that I owe a debt to xxxxx(OC)" it says OC quite a few times, I assume OC is the original creditor ie Lloyds not Arrow, am I right?
Also it says "Full name of CEO" how do I find the name of the CEO of Dryden?

Thanks once again.

OK, thank you for that, should I still send it Royal Mail signed for, and does it still need to be signed in red ink (as it used to say on GOODF)?

Always ,everything signed for. I doubt it will make any difference what colour although I sign everything in purple.
( sovereign) just avoid black.
