It Did Work

I had never bothered to look at my credit file as always thought it a waste of time and never wanted credit. Anyway, I actually got a copy of my credit file and what i found was bloody amazing and I now know it did/does work.

What am I on about? Remember those nice prom notes we had on the other site? Well guess what? THEY DO WORK!

Back in 2015 I sent one to a certain company to pay a so called large debt, they jumped and screamed and such but, I just told them that was all they were getting. Now, having looked at my file, that so called debt now shows as, wait for it...........Satisfied. Yep! you read it right, Satisfied.

I very nearly fell out of my chair, that was satisfied with a nice fancy prom note. I know it may be hard for some to believe, but, it is true.

Let me make it clear, there are only certain members who I know and trust to show hard copy proof and no others. Mind you, that's if i can remember how to send it by pm.

Hi LionsShare, I did want credit once over but not anymore, it gave me too much of a headache and at the moment I manage quite well.

regarding money, credit, loans & all that crap, remember reading about a community somewhere (if only I could remember) possibly in Africa or South America where they had done away with I think ALL forms of money - something to do with "Ubuntu" project, can't remember where i saw it or the full "sp". How they do "commerce" or exchange goods/services don't know but would be very interesting to find out?

Ok, thanks. There is a section on the prom note in the top right, where Michael says it is about a High Court ruling for each specific country. i would presume that anyone replicating this prom note in Britain would either leave that section there or remove it as no one has worked out what should be changed for Britain?

It is in odt format because I use open office, it can be changed to publisher which is what I used to use when I had windows.

Well done, Mavrik... Of course Prom notes work, well in theory and in law, they should. It's the banks that refuse to accept them, why, possibly because they are already in the business of issuing their own prom notes and don't want the competition. The thing is, there is no money...jeez, that sounds like an old but broken record. There are only debt notes. The Euro courts state that prom notes are cash and if anyone doubts this, try sending one of your own prom notes to a friend in any country outside the Euro union for say 50,000 and then once it's done tell the officials that you've done it. Look forward to a few years on cold meals every day and you soon see the true worth of prom notes today.

Not to put any negs here, but a prom note under the Bills of Exchange date Act must have a date to settle in currency.

Are sure that the debt has not been sold. It woukd show satisfiec on the credit report. This is what happened to me re Barclaycard when it sold to MKDP. The debt was showing as satisfied, then a few months later MKDP were showing on my credit report.

You can put up to 99 years on a promissory note.

The so called debt was satisfied back in 2015 when they were sent the note.
