Wheelie bin chips Empty Re: Wheelie bin chips

Hi,

Can't really answer the questions you pose as there does not seem to be enough info out there certainly from the council where I live. Will say this though, you could FOI your council & ask who "owns" the bin(s) at your property? if its you then get a drill &... problem solved (possibly)?

Perhaps too simple an approach - but effective!

Councils own nothing, they are merely agents of the people and as agents of the people they are there to do the bidding of the people, therefore the people are paying the council for a service and if the council sub contract it, it is still being paid for by the people.

People in some areas of the UK are already paying extra for the taking of green bins on top of their council tax.

Here is a vid from last year, not where I live but at about 1:20 in it says "Bins without RFID tag will be removed or no longer able to be emptied".

I'm old enough to remember when ANPR cameras were first used, the AA and RAC pretended to be against them and protested to the powers that be that they would be an unfair intrusion on the public and how they could be used to basically track where people had traveled in their cars and be used to track people who didn't have tax and stuff. They said at the time and gave assurances that ANPR would only be used to trace stolen cars which was a big problem in those days. Now all they use them for is to persecute people with, still I suppose ANPR isn't as bad as having a smart phone.
I can also remember a good few years ago talk about these RFID chips being put in wheelie bins and to be able to weigh the bins and charge the bin owner by the weight of the rubbish collected, they seem to be starting that process now.

Here is the problem in a nut shell, councils are there to work for the people as their elected representatives, and for many years many councils have not represented the people they are there to represent, and nobody has taken them to task over it.

Here is the scam ALAB, the council charge you for a service and look for other ways of double dipping, you pay for the service and never receive it, or you pay for a service and receive it; either way the council you have paid for the service look to charge you more for providing less.

They tried this in Derby with brown bins (gardening waste) and I composed a letter for a friend living there; suddenly it went mad and the majority opposing the scheme (about 90%) received copies of the letter which included a quote directly from the council claiming they owned the bins, and a charge from each household for storing council property, with so many lawful notices the council suddenly had a change of policy.

I had 3 wheelie bins + 2 plastic containers.
About 3 years ago, twice my bins were not emptied due to " the wrong type of plastic & the wrong coloured paper"

I informed the council that if they required me to wash ,sort & segregate my waste .The charge for my services would be .(coincidentally the same amount as my CT).As they did not respond I informed them that they had 2 weeks to remove their recycling bins or they would be deemed as abandoned.
I find them very useful for composting, water butts & for testing outboard engines.
