CitiBank Returns from the Dead! Empty CitiBank Returns from the Dead!

Post by SkyDancer Wed Jun 21, 2017 6:26 pm

Greetings! I've dispatched several credit card debts and collection agency debts, as well, with the system you've provided and thought i was home free. However, I recently received a letter from Citibaank acting as if our "relationship" had somehow been rebooted! I had sent them the three letters and a couple of months went by and then received a letter from a collection agency that had apparently bought my debt. i sent them the three letters. I heard nothing and thought it was all over (yay!) Not so fast! I then got another letter from a new collection agency! I sent them the three letters. After a few weeks went by, I received the letter from Citibank. Just to complicate matters, I've also received a letter I haven't opened from a "business management" company in Rochester, NY that I could find nothing on what they did. I supect it may be another collection agency for Citibank but I won't know unless I open it. I have considered sending it back with a label stating "no one here by that name" on it. So, what is the best move now? The debt is $9600+ and I'm thinking I may need to send the Common Law Copyright Notice, etc. directly to Citibaank. Got aany good ideas?

CitiBank Returns from the Dead! Empty Re: CitiBank Returns from the Dead!

Hi skydancer,

No idea how things work over there, if it were here i would formulate along the lines of;

I have to date requested proof of claim regarding this alleged debt a total of nine (9) times at no point has the information i requested been provided .As i have always stated that i will pay any debt i may lawfully owe your corporation, upon proof of claim ,would it not have been the case that if you had proof of claim you would have provided it and been paid.?

Clearly you do not have any proof of claim ,and if no proof is received within three (3) working days all further contact from you will be ignored.

I require that all communication from you is signed by a named individual who takes liability for its contents.

Thats my advice .others may wish to give their views on this.

hope all goes well

I would change it slightly, where you sayall further contact from you will be ignored I would put!

If you do not provide the proof as requested on 9 previous occasions, you agree there is no debt, and no case to answer.
