I guess that you must be talking about out of body experiences. I used to attempt the exercises that are said to induce this state, but only once did something happen that left me wondering if I did indeed have an oobe. For a couple of years I began to relax and meditate, to bring about a state of total relaxation, while at the same time trying not to fall asleep. The results were amazing to say the least. This all happened during the late 80's and early 90's. Now, while I didn't succeed to leave my body in the accepted manner, I developed a means to entering the world of hypnagogic dreams. For those not aware of what this is, it's a period between wakefulness and sleep, where images fill the mind that can seem as tangible to the person seeing them as being wide awake.

I've been experiencing hypnagogic images for as long as I can remember and because I find it easy to relax and meditate I find it just as easy to experience these moments of seeming reality through some pretty frightening hallucinations. In fact, I don't need to purposely relax these days, since these images spring upon me before and during sleep.

Anyhow, I digress, the only link between these images or the state of hypnagogic dream sleep is relaxation. The one time that I thought I had had an oobe was when I experienced one of my frequent flying dreams, only this particular time it was when I was deliberately trying to get out of my body...I was flying/gliding through the air and for the first and only time, I could physically feel a cool breeze blowing against my face. Real or not, I have no idea, no more than anyone can be sure who has frequently experienced hypnagogic dream images...

I used to experience pretty much the same in the 80's and 90's but I think mine was caused taking lsd. Pretty amazing experience though.

I saw the documentary decades ago on the CIA program for remote viewing, and bought the book of the same subject "psychic warrior".

OOBe' are very common and used in warfare espionage. You can transcend space and time by going to "coordinates". Eg, going to an "event" like a plane crash, or inside a covert building.

We have all experienced driving without a map or satnav and just "knowing" where to go to places you have never visited before. We have a sense of tapping in to all knowledge.

However, one needs to be careful in remote viewing as to who you perceive yourself to be in the experience. Residual Self Image means that you may experience a nasty event as if you were on your own body and it may cause you a trauma. If you understand yourself to be consciousness, or a point of light, then you will detach yourself from the experience and understand it intellectually.

There are hundreds of hospital patients experiences given where people see themselves and even one I read was able to describe in detail the architecture on the roof of the hospital for which she could not have known physically.

I died on the operating table and had to be revived and can say I could only remember them putting a needle in my arm to send me asleep and then waking up. I couldn't remember anything in between, no white lights at the end of a tunnel or nothing like that. I couldn't even pick the right lottery numbers or nothing afterwards.

Hi Thanks for your replies.
I've experienced sleep paralysis from being a kid about 6/7 year old. Now I'm 38 And still too this day get it.
You can feel it creeping in then all of a sudden your paralyzed it's scary.i use to panic and I mean panic and try shouting out and jumping up but couldn't move for about 20-30sec.thought I was dying
And then just snap out of it. thinking what the f... Is it
Until the beginning of 2016. I had just gone to bed laid there as you do.just mulling stuff over in my head. then
Out of know where it feels like my bed is shaking but just ignored it. then sleep paralysis kicks in.this time I just let it happen and stayed calm to see what it was I waited a few seconds then that's when things got real strange
What I would describe as electrical noises like when two people whistle at the Same time real loud.you get like a tuning in sound .then a whooshing sound. Then a feeling that I was floating.I opened my eyes to see what was happening only to find my self floating at the ceiling looking down at my body laid in bed .i panicked like crazy thinking I'd died and was sucked back in my body. Like I was thrown back in. jumping up in shock thinking wtf. Next morning Looked on YouTube as you do. and found bob Monroes journeys out of body.
I Didn't believe anything like that were possible.
I do now.
