Post by Sharpysparky Tue Jun 11, 2019 11:08 am

Hi everyone,
need to send an SAR to water company and need help in either wording it correctly or there being a template letter somewhere on here that I cannot find, I want to get this right so there is no get out for them, obviously a non commercial agreement but they chose to ignore that fact when I pointed it out to them with the joint giro credit slip (that they returned!!!)

Just a few suggestions.

This is a Subject Data Access  request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please supply any and all data you hold on  (your name) .I require all data to be supplied in
a format accessible without specialised equipment. Also to be included are any and all contracts
or agreements which you believe exist between (your name) and (their name).

See what other suggestion you get & build around them.

DSAR results can take months... (yes, even though you’re supposed to get your data within one month)

If you do not receive all within a month ,contact the ICO immediately ,I have found that gets results.

state you are looking for data that pertains to the name of ? regarding an alledged outstanding debt.

as i stated in the other thread ask for stuff like:

LionsShare wrote:try to send back the 1 they sent you but its over 72 hours for supposed contract law.

YES YES do SAR for the alledged debt, ask for dates, reason(s) - description of the amounts are for, account balance at every stage, balance amount (different to previous account balance) (this should be 0. was for me), payments made/received on account with sort codes + account numbers (if they supply this tell me & will give further help - important), & anything else you can think of.

good luck

ask for something contradictory:

please show data pertaining to the name ? you have a Commercial Agreement.

please show data pertaining to the name ? you have a non-Commercial Agreement.

this way they will have to answer 1 way or the other, if they state non-comm' that's it you have them. You can pay by endorse

One final thing. I would number those paragraphs 1.2.3. as there is only one word difference between 1&2 & if not read properly by them it may not be apparent.

Thanks DI, I have already sent it now, but if they are so clever and they want to trick us with the words they use then its up to them to read what is written correctly imo, making it too easy for them is not the game I will play lol.
point taken though fella for your well educated input it is very much appreciated

I stand corrected, Its the Data Protection Act 2018. However in the event of non compliance
it is still the ICO who handles complaints.

you should get somat back but it will depend on what they send. I got somat intellgable but not complete. Knowing that now is why I stated about asking for all you need to put in your Subject Access Request

I have done all that now & still waiting for the latest to appear.
