[Has anyone have/used a successful defense against a (DC) lawful basis for processing personal data falling under 'Public Task' as they are exercising official authority(e.g. a public body's tasks, functions, duties or powers) on the behalf of Local Authority ( collecting outstanding arrears for Non Residential Services,) and do not require consent to process any personal information.!!!??]

A Local authority non-residential services dispute over an outstanding fee, discharged by A4V, passed alleged debt to DUKES Bailiffs (DC), without our consent (ping pong) CA3 then DSAR sent, non-response sent after 40 days, received reply attached to above post from DC, justifying the lawful basis for processing personal data falls under 'Public Task'!!.
Has any member seen this?

Sorry last one: to help focus their (Dukes) minds, make it clear that you will be sending a copy of your letter (asking them to justify their function) and a
copy of their subsequent response, to the ICO for legal validation.
