Spying!...adds up. After being involved with PC and networks for years, i asked about ipv6 years ago (over 10 years) and told by a good geek that it will be needed soon for the amount of IP address we'll have, well, it's still not needed.
Another thought is the browser you use. Any main stream ones will be tracked, Google bing etc... Tor has better abilities to prevent trace back, but IP address and Mac address still can be logged when entering and exiting.
Whatever you choose, use diligence. VPN is another option.
Even if what you're doing is deemed lawful, they do listen/have centers for this purpose, your phone's/devices are never silent. Are they lawful?

Very few ISPs offer IPv6 at the moment, but if yours does then this is a good point.  The default IPv6 configuration uses the computer's MAC address to form part of it's IPv6 network address.  Apart from meaning this globally unique address can be tracked, it also tells then what type of device you're using.

If you want to use IPv6 there are a couple of ways to avoid all this, but at this stage easiest just to make sure it's disabled unless you have some good reason.

And yes, VPN is good.  I know a few people who use one as a matter of course.  However note that some sites including this one don't permit access via VPN.

if they wanted to really spy on you then all of this is meaningless , you will only avoid the data collecting corporate side to a slightly better degree with a vpn, but your vpn company's are, guess what?, selling your data ! just without your name attached , but its not exactly private either as a profile could identify you .
