School Uniform Scam

In the recent past school uniform costs have risen dramatically so why is this? in reality each school has its own uniform and as individual uniforms their markets are small, so why the huge costs rises.

Many narcissistical individuals at many schools are deliberately raising school uniform prices by their actions and the current trend is the school logo, so why do they need a logo? they dont is the simple answer, but its one which makes the school money for a few words on a contract and cash strapped parents are footing the bill for these actions; only today I heard of one school which requires their logo on most of the school uniform items, including sports kit.

In my days at school we had a school badge and you could buy a blazer with it already sewn on, or you could buy a cheap blazer and the badge seperately and sew the badge onto your blazer, so instead of having to conform to a rigid regime you had options, so why cant you go out and buy black trousers/skirts, white shirts/blouses, school tie, black socks for boys and white socks for girls, and get them from cheap outlets such as supermarkets who regularly offer cheap school uniforms and parent/parents on low wages have the option to shop within a restricted budget.

Lets look at the usual diatribes trotted out by the schools:

We constantly work with our supplier (note singular) to provide school uniforms at the cheapest prices.

Bullsh*t.

We have our school logo emblazoned on most school uniform items.

WHY?

In a simple word MONEY and this is because it comes down to the logo.

Why do you use logos and require them to be emblazoned onto shirts/blouses, trousers and skirts, school ties, and onto most sports kit items, oh, of course its school policy.
Think about this for a minute as it is nothing but a cartel (illegal) and you are creating this illegal cartel and through the regularly changing school policy they require more and more items to carry the school logo, so why only work with one supplier who supplies these items emblazoned with these logos.

By taking away choice you can only use one supplier, by using only one supplier you create the cartel, and why a logo? fair question, but any school badge cannot be trademarked but a school logo can, and are trademarked, and the more items yoiu have trademarked the more money you make as the uniform supplier has to pay the school everytime they use this trademark.

Monetary terms:

Family with two children, most parents buy two or more of everything and this means the more trademarked items you buy the more money you pay the trademark holder, and if the school as the trademark holder gets £3 per trademarked item it soon adds up to a nice little earner for them.

Boy has two white trademarked shirts, thats £6 to the school, daughter has two trademarked blouses then its another £6 to the school, add in two pairs of trousers for the boy and its another £6 to the school, and two trademarked shirts then its another £6 to the school, but daughter has a pair of trousers for winter and its another £3 to the school, and they both have a trademarked tie each and its another £6 to the school.

On a basic uniform this ads up to £33 to the school in trademaaked logo items for the basic uniform and the parents are paying for this, and we haven't added in the sports kit.

Now does it make sense.
