Messed up the 3 letters process

Hello all,

I hope you're alright.

I've just heard back from moorcroft and westcott. I sent them 2/3 letters - the third due this week. Moorcroft have sent me a letter saying that they don't own the debt and westcott have said that I can apply for the evidence I asked by paying a pound to some department. Either way, turns out I've f%&ked up and sent the wrong letters. Neither own the debt, they're only acting as agents. Have I ruined everything? What should I do? Send the new letters? I didn't even know there was a new process... And it was all going so well!

Anyway, I hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction at least.

We all make mistakes don't worry, if i read it right, wait until you receive a new letter from a DCA, Then start again with the new 3 letters Very Happy

If they don't own the debt then I would of thought they got as much right to ask for it as what I have and I'm sure as chips know you wouldn't want to pay me.

I've had a letter from Moorcroft with three computer screen shots attached. The shots are of an electronic copy of my signature and some basic bank account details. It looks to me like all three copies are of the same thing that they are trying to pass off as proof of three separate accounts.

They say in their letter that this proves that I owe the money. I'm pretty sure that it isn't what I asked for, nor does it prove anything. What should I do?

Especially given that as I explained above, I started the wrong three letters process in the first place. Should I just continue to wait until they start the collections process again or what?

I find this whole thing so anxiety provoking. I keep reminding myself that they are just people at work sending the letters and that no one really cares but I am in a knot of nerves with it all. Still fighting, but scared...

Just start again with the new 3 letters for DCAs acting as agents. That will make it clear to them exactly what you require and to make your position very clear.

I understand that this may be causing you stress ,but just stick with it and you will soon learn to treat these parasites with the contempt they deserve.
I suggest that you read through the debt section ,as the more you understand the process ,the less stressed you will become.

Start the 3 letters again like daveiron said,
They will send out letters to try and fool you, and lie remember these are DCA,S
try not to be scared , they are just people in a office no special powers and they are ( not ) law enforcement
remember we are always here if you are not sure about anything we are happy to try and help Very Happy
