Hi,

Not sure why you are unable to upload the letter - perhaps Lopsum (one of the admins) can help. BUT, before you do, mask your personal details in account numbers and references, plus dates, and sums! And any bar codes which, for example, may appear ANYWHERE on the letters.

Also (in relation to your last message and any previous ones) I urge you not to refer to dates, sums, personal details etc otherwise they could uniquely pin point you if, say, Lowells are 'trolling' this site...

An improvement but not good enough haha - as I said, remove the dates and sums and bar codes (your letter includes QR codes...)

Always ask yourself “what on the letter is most likely to be unique to ME?”

Then you’ll have no problem knowing what to mask Smile

Thanks Mrblue. I thought I’d covered all the dates but didn’t realise the bar code was also important. Sorry.
Can you give me some advice on what to do next.

Thanks

Many thanks

Hi,

Acknowledge their letter and simply proceed with letter 2 for DCAs (you hasn’t sent that yet?)

Also let us know once you receive the SAR results (don’t rush to upload anything...)

I have sent letters one and 2, letter 3 is going today. Should I use the newer letter continue with the original ones. Also, should I respond separately to this last letter ?

I have also sent a SAR to the OC. should I inform Lowell about this?

Regards

Send letter 3 on the 27th and no, you must not tell Lowell about the SAR to the OC.

Last time i received such a letter was from Cabot back in 2016. I used the cease and desist template at the time. I'm a bit concerned because the letter from Lowell, above, arrived a week after the date on the letter (which I feel was intentional). As time is going on I'm worried they will proceed with further action !

A bit of misrepresentation in fact a down right lie by Lowells in that response letter, regards the DOA, no wonder no body will put their name to it, No problem the Directors or Partners of Lowell can be sued, notwithstanding an apology letter and £150 for your trouble, and where is the default notice ?

A DOV is not always necessary. depends on the type of arrangment the creditor has in place with their client, possibly an equitable assignment but could not be sure, I wont say much more as you need to be able to read between the lines with what they are telling you in their correspondence, if you do not know what these things are, you need to read up as templates will be of limited use to you otherwise, i think templates are a bad idea anyway, if only for the fact it creates predicatability ....oh look its one of those again, no problem we have a prescribed process for that.

HI Libeiresponse

I have not received a default notice, I did receive a Notice of Assignment back in 2016. It was supposed to be from Vanquis but it was actually from Lowell, themselves.

Did you ask for it, did you ask if the account had been closed ? presuming you are not contesting you had that account ?
