Don't we think that's a good thing? Malaria is a huge problem, although some progress is being made.

The point of the post was the timing of the money, i.e. same month Neil Fergusons projections were made & when we went into lockdown.

Who's to say it will go on malaria?

I understand Gates has repeatedly funded that college & clearly the conflicts on interest - lockdown on virus hoax (false projections due to funding), vaccine cure etc...all add to the lockdown & Coronavirus Act been unlawful due to flawed/fake evidence born out of what most would call a bribe!

I suppose that strictly we can't know. But it would require an extensive conspiracy not just among the scientists and staff at Imperial, but among the organisations that they work with and among the financial departments and external auditors of both organisations. That seems far fetched to me, given firstly that Imperial has been working on malaria for some time, and secondly because if this was some sort of secret bribe then the foundation need not have mentioned it at all. I don't think that such a conspiracy theory is founded on anything but a presumption that the foundation must be up to no good.

I think the problem is that the world is so complex that we have to rely on indirect sources of information which we can't personally confirm ourselves. Even so it seems for fetched to take a piece of published information, say you don't believe it but at the same time claim that it proves something which it does not state. The Met Office is forecasting dry weather on Saturday, but I don't believe them on principle so their forecast is actually proof that rain is expected. (Actually I do have my doubts about Met Office, but that's more about their bias in forecasting severe weather, a more technical difference of opinion)
