Thank you for contacting me about the treatment approval process in the UK.

The drug approval process in the UK is extremely rigorous, in order to ensure that treatments provided to patients are safe, as well as being effective. All treatments are required to undergo stringent clinical trials, licensing, and appraisal by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) before being made available on the NHS.

NICE processes have been designed to offer the best possible treatments for the best possible prices, protecting patients and taxpayers over pharmaceutical companies. I fully support NICE, who do a very good job in difficult circumstances, and believe that an independent assessor is vital in ensuring only the best and safest treatments reach patients.

In the UK treatments are approved on an evidence-based approach, rather than an anecdotal approach. Clinical trials must be ethically robust and impartially observed, in order to ensure that the results of the trial are independently verifiable. This is crucial to protect patient safety. Without rigorous clinical trials, medication cannot, and should not, be licensed or distributed.

GcMAF has undergone no such independently verifiable or rigorous testing. Promotional material for GcMAF states that a patient has an 80 per cent chance of being cancer free in a year if they have stage 4 cancer, refuse chemotherapy, and choose GcMAF instead. I believe that directing patients away from evidence-based treatments towards a treatment which has not undergone clinical trials, licensing, or independent verification, is ruthlessly negligent.

Moreover, the manufacturer of this product has made approximately £10 million from the sale of GcMAF between 2012 and 2015, despite the fact that the products were made using material which was labelled as “not to be administered to humans or used in any drug products”. The manufacturer also admitted to money laundering.

If GcMAF undergoes the same rigorous clinical trials as all other treatments available in the UK, and on the strength of these trials is recommended for use in the case of any of the illnesses it purports to cure, I will be delighted to see it made available on the NHS. However until then, I strongly support the enforcement action taken against the manufacturers and salespeople of this product.

Be fair,did you really expect a truthful honest answer from a polititian ? After all
the promises he made at election time to work for the people .The first thing they
do when they enter parliment is to swear an oath to queenie,who must be the
biggest traitor to the British people ever.
I would imagine the second thing they do is learn how to fill out an expencies sheet.

We can only hope for (retribution ) justice these parasites will face when the sheep finally
emerge from their long sleep.
