Red Satan (Santander)

This may be of interest for anyone dealing with Santander. I have a small
alledged cc debt with them .At this stage i have not started the 3 letters or
NoCA .All i have requested so far is a copy of the original agreement. Which as we
all know they will never be able to supply.
The replies i am getting since last August may be of help .

" We need to clarify that we have previously stated that we are unable to locate
the original paperwork ,we also need to confirm that in line with banking regulations
there is no requirement to maintain documents longer that 6 years"

Ok we all know they sell them on ,but anybody dealing with Santander its clear
they are unlikely to be able to supply anything much.

Just goes to show mate that EVEN AN OC (Original Creditor) can’t supply the basics!

Their response also implies this is over 6 years. Is it?

No mate the account was opened 2009 ,last payment made about a year ago.

No doubt they’ll just se on then. Perhaps then try the NoCA and skip the three letters as a test?

Morning Dave,

Naturally you would have to tweak the NoCA of course, eg replace “3” below with the actually number of times you have written to Red Satan:

“I have on three (3) occasions requested from you specific documentation which validates your claim.”

And tweak anywhere else where your previous letters may have had an influence on the wording of your, to be, subsequent NoCA.
