Glad yous are still around!
Hey
My current situation has changed and I'm so glad the old are here with the new, trying to read and catch up with this new goodf system and again, all a little daunting.
I have read the new system and watched the video too, I understand this may be a lengthy process, the problem I have at the moment is my address has changed and I need to rectify this with 9 different creditors, and after trying today with one I've realised what a struggle this will be!
I shall post up more in separate, I just wanted to say thanks for the guys that are still here and kicking around. I cannot believe what happened with the old site, it was soooo good

Welcome,
Best not to refer to them as creditors, do not admit to any debt.
just inform them by Royal Mail RD that your address for correspondance
has changed.

Welcome.
As per DaveIron, do not use the word creditors in your letters to them
Good luck.

Re: Glad yous are still around!
Well I haven't missed any payments as I am with stepchange at the moment, but that's about to change......
So, I need to read more first. I see there is a debt purchaser and debt collector, and I have no idea what the difference is with these. Also do these letters need to be sent to the OC (new goodf) after they have sold the alleged debt on or whilst they chase payment?
I have all the letters written out for the address change so, these will be sent this week. Then at the end of the month the pain begins. My circumstances have changed and my credit file is beyond repair, they have actually been putting everything down as missed payment rather than assisted pay (if that is possible). I'll explain in a new post, there's a lot I have to ask and give information about. Hope to get this all sorted one day

Re: Glad yous are still around!
Hi Freshstart,
a debt collector is just a company who attempt to collect for ,usually
the original lender .
A debt purchaser buys the (alleged) debt for pence in the pound.
Mr Blue is correct ,research is very important. If you have no idea how
the banking system works you are in for a surprise.

Re: Glad yous are still around!
Check out this channel run by ‘The Spaniard’, an ex city banker who realised one day that he was working within an unethical and fraudulent (yes fraudulent) industry.
Of course, 99% of the world are clueless as to how banking works, even people who work in banks (I often enjoy raising this point when I pop into a bank and enjoy looking at their clueless expressions…).
But the likes of us (1%) aren’t clueless and we back this up by proving the system is fraudulent (template letters etc) and WIN…

Re: Glad yous are still around!
Check this out too (only 15 mins). And watch not only the News presenter become surprised but also watch David Buick on the right, a long time City stalwart (a regular on LBC radio) who does not deny what the professor reveals. In fact, he often agrees…
In summary, the professor has proved that banks do not lend money and, in fact, YOU create money. But the banks twist it so that it appears that you owe them money. And hence a taste of the fraud that is banking, not to mention a breach of the FCA… But of course, the FCA turn a blind eye. So again, ask yourself why. Could it be they are all in bed together? I think you’ll find that’s a yes…
Prof. Werner brilliantly explains how the banking system and financial sector really work:

Re: Glad yous are still around!
I've got time this weekend so I'll get watching these, thank you. I've clued myself up before, but not to an extent I'm comfortable bashing on right away. I'm about to send stepchange an email to thank them for the service to date, but I'll no longer be requiring their services, I actually checked the terms and they take 10%. Some charity that....
I've actually read that a few times now, I'll read again and if things aren't clear enough, I'll ask some questions. I have 8 in total to the sum of about £12k, one of those HSBC has actually zerod my account on credit karma (etc) I asked stepchange and all they said was they were still accepting the payment, so whether or not it's to them or a dca I do not know.

Good approach ie to get educated for the ‘plunge’ and rather than copy and paste templates….

Re: Glad yous are still around!
If / when you take the plunge with any of these 8 alleged debts, create a separate post for each please within the Debt section. Otherwise it will be nigh on impossible to decipher one from the other
Also if you really do intend to challenge 8 alleged debts, that’s a HUGE undertaking in terms of organisation etc.
I used the (original / old GOODF approach - which worked) simultaneously for five alleged debts totalling approx. £18,000. Then again, I am rare in terms of being very organised.
