How many people and sheeple have heard the (fake) news they are claiming?

Apparently it is now illegal to run your vehicles engine to defrost your vehicle.

How many people park their vehicles outside during winter? so how do you defrost your vehicles as it is also illegal to drive your vehicle with windscreens which are obscured by frost as it obscures your view, so what do you do.
In reality several vehicle makes have heated windscreens, heated rear windows, heated mirrors as well as other niceties such as heated seats, mine are lovely.
This means you are breaking the law either way because to operate any of these you have to have the engine running to provide the power to them and as many vehicles also have power management systems on board (mine does) they reduce the current to these devices if insufficient power is being generated which increases their time to effectively clear the vehicle of ice outside the vehicle and mist on the inside the vehicle, your mirrors and your heated rear screen.

Oh, they will say, use de icer, this is fine to a point but it smears terribly initially, then freezes again as soon as you move due to the cold air; scrape your windows they might say, I always do with my engine running and the heaters turned off to allow the system to build up heat and by the time I have scraped the ice from the vehicle I canturn the blowers on to remove the misting inside the vehicle quickly.

This is actually a simple question, what do you do? or realistically what can you do? actually it comes down to a simple question what is the law, actually you can circumvent the law on the grounds of safety so you start your engine and defrost your vehicle, the law also says you cannot put other road users in a position of danger. This is the get out of jail card.

You will see the po-lice looking for vehicles with idling engines defrosting their vehicles and you will see them looking for sailor Sam and Postman pat with their scraped portholes or letter boxes and in both instances issue tickets so it is now a cartel for the Lice, damned if you do and damned if you don't and you can bet the Lice will abuse this.
