A Great result, i hope he does go after that thug under his own personal
liability ,Quote below is from the Police Federation handbook page 2

Each sworn constable is an independent
legal official and each police officer has
personal liability for their actions or inaction.
The chief officer of the force to which the
constable is attached also has a level of
corporate responsibility

There is also a quote or caselaw from Lord Denning MR who to summerise
said that if the police entered your property without lawful cause,and did
not leave when told to, you would be entitled to hit him over the head
with a milk bottle.

Its actually quite simple and it clearly states it was a civil matter and the po-lice have no jusisdiction in civil matters so already breaking the law by breaking in for bailiffs, phone them about a civil matter and 99% of the time they refuse to attend claiming "its a civil matter" and not criminal.

Secondle the law is very clear on this point in that no third party can act for a bailiff and if the bailiff has a High Court Warrant it will also have an warrant of entry attached and this is for the bailiffs to force entry and not the po-lice, so instant claim here and a very large one.
