I agree totally as I have used that process around 5 times ALL with total success.
It just goes to show who is really in the wrong.

Hi Guys

Hope things are going forward and positive for you all?

In regards to my 'predicament' at the beginning of this topic, i received two letters today from Moriarty Law,stating that.......

They are no longer instructed in connection with this matter and the account has been returned to Merligen Investmets Lt.d. (the originator being Claims advisory group)

Both letters/accounts show £0.00 in the amount due section.

This is without me making ANY CONTACT with them whatsoever.
It also goes to show how sneaky and dishonest these company's are in trying to 'trick you' (Thanks assassin) into complying with something they had no right to pursue in the first place.(That invite to contact them personally never sat right with me either.)

We now know it has been statute barred since 30th Jan 2019 and I sent out one debt letter to Merligen requesting proof of their claim. They promised to do this upon receipt (around October 2018) and 'I'm still waiting for that'.

I will admit to being frustrated and annoyed when I saw Moriarity law at the top of the letters but then that turned to hysterical laughter (not kidding) when I read the contents.

The only slight threat I received from Merligen, was the one about 'this can affect your credit report' but since I don't want ANY credit EVER or loans/ Death grips, then I wasn't concerned. But this has NOT affected my report either.
It may be enough to sway some though as they rely far too much on 'credit' and we all know how that works don't we??!!

Anyways I thought I'd share this info here so if anyone else get's into 'fear mode' to realise what these scumbag bottom feeders can and cannot do without your willing consent. Embarassed

What I've learned from this...........
Don't tie yourself up in 'fear knots' take a deep breath and ask for proof of claim, and NEVER admit to owing anything. Let them prove it.. Question
