water bill

Hello my good friends i have a thing you maybe able to advise me on, about three years ago i paid of a water bill for £1200 by a cheque from were bank and for the last three years i have been getting yearly bills for the occupier which I have ignored no problem now they have started sending bills with my name on is the answer to say no contract written accross the bill ,i know Mark Ceylon say,s never pay for water that I have to aggree with can one of you good people point me in the right direction one other thing is they have not addressed them to Mr, just John ***** any advice is welcome thanks

My overall advice from experience, doing what you suggest WILL work but ONLY for a short time & sooner or later it will catch you up.

What these parasite util Co's are now doing is going after a charging order on property for a non existant debt. What you do is up to you but in order to avoid such things & possible bancrupcy I suggest you either pay by endorsement, you could try A4V but thats not really the correct thing to do as there must be a financial defect existing in order for it to work (the man must be compensated under the Bills Of Exchange Act 1882 - you cannot charge or tax a man only a person so the correct instrument has to be provided for a non commercial agreement), or set up a payment plan with water Co to get rid of debt.

Doing NOTHING or refusing to offer (remain in honour - see sect 42,43 BOE 1882) something will ultimatly get you into all sorts of trouble. Please read the Utilities section for the answers to what you want to do, yes by now there is alot of threads to go through but please feel free to ask if you need.

Just seen the last comment I missed.

Does NOT matter, if the b'cert name is printed then its to the 'name', if that b'cert name is what you usually go by, then its you that should respond however you see fit.
