Forced Warrant Entry

this has been posted elsewhere & am not fully sure what it is, legislation? some advisary notes? will require further investigation.

Have brought this to your attention to possibly help further with your efforts, for those that are......

It is (was) a Private Members Bill, originated in the Lords in 2009 and it looks like it ground to a halt in 2010 and didn't progress further. As you probably know in the UK it's "Bill" while it's being drawn up and debated before it actually comes into effect when it would have become an "Act".

it looks to me like ( and this is just an opinion ) a response of some sort to an intended 'bill' whereby it has been pointed out that what the govt. at the time intended to try and do or enforce may be problematic and in conflict with article 8 of the ECHR.

as you may all be aware this current lot are trying to get away from the ECHR regulations which would remove so many rights that we still have left.

again just my take on this.

What's quite striking is Schedule 1 which lists all pre-existing acts that include right of entry, pages and pages of them. Starting from the Adoption Act 1976 (c. 36) going via Deer Act 1991, Performing Animals (Regulation) Act 1925, Sea Fisheries Act 1968 and ending with Zoo Licensing Act 1981. It seems like almost every law ever passed included some provision for forced entry.
