Credit broker again. A credit broker arranges a deal between you and a different organisation which supplies the credit. Hence the last bit in your document, if the agreement between you and the actual creditor falls through, then the broker is not entitled to their fee.

For example let's say your electricity supplier is British Gas - who is the broker supposed to be?

It is also the case that utilities are not regulated by the Consumer Credit Act. So those references

FF - really again? -  get over yourself as stated ITS-NOT-MINE.

Make of it what you will?

this it appears, what people ARE asking & utils are running away, anecdotally. To a point c'tax too!

to those that really are concerned I am looking for all sorts & coming across that said too.

People are asking serious questions & NOT getting answers so therefore people rightly or wrongly think what they do.

FF what most don't seem to comprehend is the fact because because these util Co's are registered on FCA web site they think the utils are brokers & go off on 1.

There is a video where Steven Fitzpatrick CEO of OVO when in  conversation with Martin Lewis on GMTV states, 'OVO don't own infrastructure & don't generate anything', so what are people suppose to think?

People are asking (I quite agree) where is the signed contract/agreement (there isn't 1)?

There definatly is no contract/agreement especially for utils or c'tax (even if people have signed), no one is liable for anything public, & for those that say yes people are liable then prove it?

I have provided plenty of 'proof' to the affect, please look in the utils section. There really is no debt, why? Look on any Bank of England note it tells you plain & simple - its a promise to pay & nowt else. As its a promise to pay, what do you pay with?

the real answer to 'paying' is with your credit (it would appear its more than simply endorsing/A4V), I am currently looking into that. On the whole quite simple but getting docs Notorised may be the 1st sticking point, the other is getting all accepted (all are being blocked & denied justice - PJ).

Some may be registered but some are not. As stated the actual energy "supply" does not fall under the CCA, but is converted by specific legislation.  (I put "supply" in inverted commas because people take issue with that as a functional description, but Supplier is the term used in all the legislation, guidance and licensing.)

This FCA confusion may arise because lots of energy firms are in other lines of business which do require FCA regulation. For example Octopus has fingers in car leasing and heat pumps. But the Supplier "Octopus Energy Ltd" is not CCA registered, as those activities are carried out by other divisions.

None of this explains why people are on about "brokers" where none are involved. Maybe that's a carry over from stuff cut and pasted from the US. But it seems to be specific to discussions about utilities. I don't see people referring other sources of credit as brokers, but if they did then in most cases that would be incorrect as well.
