Cabot Finacial

Hello people.

I have a letter from Cabot, saying that they have passed the account on to robinson way.

i am not sure who to address the 1st letter of the 3 to.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would start / complete the letters with cabot. Wait until Robbingway contact you .

another letter arrived and I managed to spot where it was from. Can i just return to sender, or not known at this address? may stall em a bit..cheers

Hey Mr Doubtfire

Its up to you how you deal with it. You can return to sender to try and buy some time or you could face it full on, think about how you react, if you are going to RTS maybe sleep on it and see what your thoughts are tomorrow, unless your sure thats what you want to do. Some more info would help us give you the best advice.

How old is the alleged debt?

When was the last payment made towards the alleged debt?

the debt is £7k+ and was from around 2003/5. I went throught the letter process some years ago with another bunch of vultures. Stupidly i never finished with the estoppel. I get quite anxious when dealing with these matters, thats how i got into trouble in the first place when suffering with depression. I got into various bits of debt.
I did have an iva at one time but it failed after a while with relationship breakdown / moving house / job.

Sorry to hear about your difficult circumstances. There are many of us a like and at times its not easy dealing with these matters. However it doesn't all have to be bad, the biggest battle is in your own mind and learning how to manage these kind of matters can be very empowering and enlightening.

The person chasing you only has a right to the debt, they have no contract or agreement with you, which puts you in a stronger position.

When was the last time a payment was made?

Was it secure or unsecure?

Has the account been assigned to robinson way? or are they just acting as agent?

The other good point is that because it was pre 2007 they still have to provide an original copy of the agreement and its very very unlikely they will have one, or even be able to obtain one. There are already some positives you should be able to lean on going forwards.

When was your last payment, at the moment, Robinson way like chasing debt which is not enforceable in court,
IT will not hurt if you do send return to sender, i would start with the 3 letters

Thanks for all your positive and helpful replies.
i'm not sure if i have made any payments since the iva failed. I do still pay £1 pm, but i am not sure what it relates too and have been worried to find out. I think I will start with the 3 letters and see if i can end this forever.
