After seeing this post "Anyone know of a natural cure for Arthritis?" i have the same question but for blood pressure. Have been on at least 7 or 8 different tablets in the last 10 years, initially they work but after 6 - may be 13 or 14 months pressure goes up & up. absolutly sick of it. After reading the litrature that comes with them makes me wonder if am better off not bothering when you see the list of side effects, "takes me chances like".

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Again, the distilled waters will help - but maybe not as much as cannabis (whichever way you consume it).

One you won't want to try is urine therapy. Which is a shame because that would probably work too.

Hey Lionshare,

I have a lot of personal experience with health issues not BP tho.

There is actually a very simple cure to most health problems, its mostly a learning cure and a psychological challenge, but a plant based diet will have a tremendous effect on anyones health from what I know particularly with blood pressure.

We have a pill for every ill and almost all cures derive from plants, the rule is that we can not patent nature, so the drug companies find the cure in nature change the molecular structure so its not quite as good and then sell it to us and hide the information about the natural cure or make it illegal such as cannibis.

Long term pills often make us sicker the remedy is often found in nature if you look hard enough but something like blood pressure probably has broad causes, so a plant based diet would be a very good place to start.

Doctors treat symptoms not causes, if you can find the cause you can find the cure.

Thank you for all the responses.

Lopsum - have started to look into cocoa - will reply with findings in the future!

Waffle - agree finding the cause & then the cure is what I would prefer. Medical science form what I have seen may have some answers but certainly not all. A certain doctor? was on the "wrightstuff" channel 5 this morning, saw a program by him a short while back, in it he stated he was close to type 2 diabetes, taking what he knew from medical science diet & exercise (as awoken2 states) was the ONLY answer in his case hey presto he is now sorted regarding that.

iamani - thanks for the info on distilled water, but you are right, will NOT be be drinking my own any time soon.

Awoken2 - you are right about exercise, recently have been too wrapped up in own problems to exercise frequently so will now be definatly doing more.

you need certain minerals to help the arteries relax: difference between an artery and a vein is arteries have muscles in them to help the pumping of blood people get High blood pressure from the fact that the arteries can contract but the essential minerals arent present to allow them to relax again after(there is also a kidney enzyme i think but this is very rare)....use magnessium and calcium carbonate.

i think i have low blood pressure and after a few months of daily raw cocoa i started having the feeling of blacking out when i stood after sitting . This stopped when i stopped the daily cocoa ,so i can tell it is lowering my blood pressure too much.

Reducing blood pressure is a combination of things which need to be done.

1) Lose some weight if you are overweight.

2) Take regular exercise for around 30 minutes per day, walking a dog or gardening is sufficient in most cases but avoid overstressing yourself as you would at a gym as trainers tend to try and push you.

3) Healthier diet helps, reducing take aways and eating less processed foods is great as both contain high levels of salt (sodium) as taste enhancers and preservatives, use raw spinach, beetroot, and eggs in salads helps a lot.

4) Limiting alcohol helps if you are a heavy drinker, or if you binge drink, drink in small quantities as alcohol in small doses is beneficial.

5)Lower your caffeine intake helps if you are an irregular coffee drinker and suddenly drink a lot of coffee.

6) Reduce your stress levels.

bit too much it seems, i was having a teaspoon in a coffee a few times a day. For a few months pretty much every day. I think 1 or 2 teaspoons a day would be ok, and not with coffee, though it is v nice Twisted Evil

There are contraindications to be aware of ,it is so good at lowering blood pressure its not good for people with low blood pressure. It also suppressed appetite, which can also lead to low blood sugar so i would recommend it after meals not before . It is awesome stuff , i felt quite good in the first month or 2 , its quite addictive . Just dont over do it like i did , its a bit too nice Razz

Hi LS bp tabs hammer the kidneys you get the usual bs that your on them for life when prescribed which is utter bllx my agenda is to help people at the very least cut down the meds with natural remedy’s,my wife ten years on them just stopped along with thyroxine and statins but thats another post...

For arthritis #1 is apple cider vinegar organic of course un filtered and un pasteurised with mother i suggest to my customers acv for the first port of call as i sell healing herbs and spices... acv is one of my best sellers as it works on multiple levels from blood sugar stabilisation to acid reflux.for diabetics ingest just before bed and your blood sugar levels will be stable for the next day for arthritis typically you will feel relief after just three days:) joints will start to free up as uric acid plays a part in causing inflammation acv dissolves the uric acid crystals pretty quickly gout being a symptom of uric acid build up the crystals are sharp and diamond hard they get stuck in  the joints and cause inflammation heat and pain along with the stiffness associated with arthritis.
dosage is just one Table spoon of acv in a glass of water daily.

Its great to discover you can be well naturally. Remedies are good in the short term, but finding and removing the causes of hypertension is best of all.
May I suggest listening to the ideas of Dr. John McDougall, who has spent his life doing that, and developed
dietary practices which seem to have cured his own problems and those of thousands of others.

His dietary ideas are simple and easy to follow. Also cheaper than eating "normally". I wish you a rapid return to health.

Hi  Lawful rebel,

thanks for the info, currently my arthritis seems to have gone away without any interference from me. It has done this before but ultimately comes back. My wife knows someone who tried just about all the pharma cr*p under the sun for arthritis but after taking tumeric for about 2-3 months she is now sorted! & absolutly swaers by it.

BP on the other hand, at the moment is under control. Have not actually got around to trying to get off it, I know I must do it but other life distractions take my mind off it. Did start with cocoa powder but never kept up.
