Thanks to GOODF I fought a case brought against me by Restons on behalf of Cabot. The case was stayed and Restons wrote to me advising they were no longer involved(discontinuance). I assumed that would be it but low and behold Cabot have written to me nearly 12 months later to "welcome me back". Anyone have advice please?

If they discontinued the claim against you AFTER you submitted your defence they would have to apply to Court to recommence proceedings and put in a really good explanation for their actions.

You need to keep hold of the Notice of Discontinuance as you may need it to get any potential claim they bring (without making a proper application) dismissed.

No not at the moment to have it struck out, i think they are just trying it on ,some times DCA,S hope if they write to you, is that you will give up and pay,  remember DCA,s are con people

If you have the discontinuance notice you hit them with a counterclaim and you can report them for committing fraud, reporting them will go nowhere but it will give them more aggravation which costs them money.
