I am not in a position at the moment to try as have not had a bill for quite some time, if anyone has a joint giro to pay in, why not try to pay in WITHOUT additional cash or cheque, take it to the counter & get it stamped, scanned & what ever else, that should be it. Good luck!

please read this thread:

https://goodf.forumotion.com/t3357-thames-water#21616

& all sub threads that are contained in it. Paying by endorsement is NOT for the faint hearted so good luck with your endeavors.

You will find the answers to most of your questions in there.

1 thing I would be most interested in is your experience with getting the post office to accept your credit slip with out extra cash/cheque, how did you do it?

for me after the natorial protest it was quite some time - nearly 6 months before anything else came my way. All I got was an updated bill also covering the period i had endorsed for. So that was endorsed & sent back, now find myself with more correspondence trying to get them to bugger off or prove a debt exists.

Can you remember did the "cheque" say unacceptable at post office counters under the thick black box with the amount in?

could the lady at the post office been able to cancel it after it had been accepted, with me not paying the post office £80.84, so is it the post office that's causing me problems, is it cause the creditors cheque is not making its way back to the [ Vatican ] through the postal service its maritime shipping lanes .
