Long story short-
Credit card debt, now 12 months old. The old 3 letter process and estopel were carried out and received photocopies of every statement I ever had along with suggesting my letters have no relevance blah blah. Debt was 'passed' to moorcroft who I just ignored for 4 months. OC 'made changes' to the t&cs during these 4 months. Then receive 2 letters within same envelope on 13th Oct 17 one saying OC assigned rights, title and interests of to Cabot, second being cabots 'notice of assignment' and accompanying letter actually stating they have bought the debt. Offered me usual payment plan and in December saying they are prepared to make a discount. (I hadn't opened these 3 previous letter until recently) then today receive one saying it is now being reviewed for legal action and have 28 days to respond. I'm guessing I'm too late to terminate their sneaky agreement? Should I start the new 3 letters process!?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks daveiron, nothing too relevant, change of address, change of wordings to certain aspects and how minumum payments were now being calculated. By post. It was just odd this happened after they received the estopel and it was in the hands of their agent. May well have been a template letter sent to all clients.
I will send them first letter Monday!

Does anyone know to whom and where to send the new DP letters, CEO or CS?
Also is the old estopel still compatible with the new letters due to the documents being listed as such?

They started proceedings, I defended, the claim became stayed, I applied for an Unless Order to get the claim struck out and they discontinued before the hearing took place.

Is there any reason the deed of novation and notice of assignment aren't present in the first debt purchaser letter but are on the following 2?

Cabot started chasing me Friday and have phoned twice (i didn't answer) for loan that has been dormant with previous DCA for over a year. They don't have my current address. Would it advisable to do anything other than just keep ignoring?
