Known Name Vs Passport Name

Hello,

When being pursed for debt or anything else by companies if they have the incorrect name as in spelling, which most of my companies have me by my known fictional name they do not have my as my passport name spelling? Can I claim I am not that person as there is no legal documentation to state the spelling of a name does not exist?

Interesting question, in many cases the incorrect name on any legal document would be enough to get off on a technicality if you are charged with an offence, but remember if you are dealing with alleged debt they all conspire against you and even let them get away with fraudulent documentation, and sometimes no documentation at all.

Do you mean charged for a criminal offense or civil? Thing is my passport name is different to my drivers license name in spelling. My drivers licenses and national insurance number and a few other letters confirm me as my known name however my passport is another name technically. So, if any bailiff or judge asks me are you (known name Mr x) I would say no. Show me proof who you are I am the passport name spelling show them the passport. If you get me. So, basically the person they are looking for my known name does not exist according to my passport. They have a fiction or some sort, which I or my parents altered my spelling on early years of my documentation?

I went to an interview for a job with a financial services company who wouldn't accept my known name spelling only my passport name so it seems to me that DCA, Bailiffs, Police are asking the wrong name another entity that does not exist legally. If the financial services company reject my known name so should police, bailiffs and dca and judges.

I had incorrect name on my court papers from DCA as in spelling the judge said it was administration error Shocked

was it your passport name or known name? Admin error that resulted in what? case dismissed due to the error?

NO the case was not dismissed it was not the name in my passport , judge just said administration error

Its a small technicality that may temporarily deter the DCA from chasing you, but unlikely it will defuse the debt. Again in court they will just overlook it, surely if someone has used your name to obtain credit or the DCA is pursuing the wrong person one would raise a complaint, this would lead to a proper investigation and could make the matters worse.

There would be a more effective way to challenge the alleged debt, pursuing this could just waste precious time and effort.

I agree with you , my name was similar to wrong spelling name , if it was smith and Jones maybe it may make a difference i dont know
