Failure to prepare Empty Failure to prepare

Post by daveiron Sat Apr 21, 2018 12:04 pm

Failing to prepare.
This is not aimed at any member and should not be taken as such. However its an important point.

There have been several folks who have asked for and received help here, never to be heard of again and never bothered to at least leave some feedback .Nobody who tries to help here even asks for thanks.

The point I am trying to make here is the importance doing some research for yourself as well.

Failure to prepare Empty Re: Failure to prepare

I can totally relate to Simons situation. I've had "friends" who ask your advice and what they are actually wanting is for you to take the lead and sort the problem by doing everything for them. A few have even bad mouthed me on other matters after you have taken the time and incurred costs to fix the problem for them!

None of them are still friends.

Failure to prepare Empty Re: Failure to prepare

Post by Tom Bombadil Mon Apr 23, 2018 12:44 am

I am guilty of NOT posting my results, like some others, but in turn am NOT looking for a thanks, here, on these pages!

I am due a reply to what happened to my issue a while back, and it will come.

But in defence of those that ask and are never seen of again, here on these and other's pages...

When we (I say we but can only account for me, I) post, we dont ask for thanks. Maybe an acknowledgement yes, or an update too!

But I consider this place to be as like a hospital!
Folk come when they need help.
They do get help, in one way or another.
They go off and learn more about their issue,
and we are forgotten! Not in a bad way, but in a "there is so much to learn....and away I go" kind of way.
Then some tell us of what happened. Others move on, knowing that we, on these pages, are a tough bunch, and dont give a shoe-shine either way!

Failure to prepare Empty Re: Failure to prepare

Tom, I see things slightly differently as a result is a result and if we get results it means we can refine our techniques and focus them more specifically.
