DWP Information Appeal

I am currently working on a case and I am asking all site members who are unemployed and in receipt of benefits for some information.

1) When you enter a Jobcentre, who is the security guard and the name of their company they work for.

2) Does this security guard meet members of the public and do anything such as direct them to a seat or ask for their name or other personal information.
This can be anything ranging from why they are there, do they threaten to throw people out, or do they try to give anyone instructions such as sit down or get off your telephone.

3) Do these security staff walk behind members of DWP staff while they are working on computer terminals or are they at any point, within view of any equipment where they can see a claimants personal details.

4) Do DWP members of staff approach people with a security guard at any point, or do they ask a security guard to come over when they are dealing with customers.

5) Do security staff give members of DWP staff instructions at any time.

I cannot explain what is currently happening but I would like some basic information and this is:

Brief details of the incident.
Name and location of the jobcentre.
Date, but NOT time of the incident.

If any site members can help with this, or they know other non site members who will also assist with this then they can contact me with this information by Private Message to prevent personal information from being posted on the site in the public domain.

May or may not be relevant but the last time I was chained by the state i.e. on benefits dole/jobseekers the security guards would stand in the main entrance stopping everyone who went in & asking why they were there or "do you have an appointment" in turn the 'dole book' would be shown, clearly who you are could be 'clocked' from this, they did point out where you should go (I knew where to go). It was actually intimidating to some extent in so as they would be a few of them behaving like UUI's do. Believe it was G4S at time.

I did on other days when not signing on sometimes call in to see what jobs were available as I was without internet access at time, I did end up using library internet as it was easier & more sites to look up but above all no goons harassing you when all you wanted to do was find work.

Now you know why they put the goons there. Very Happy

This is unheated of in Aus least as far as I know. Shocking state of affairs but a portent of whats coming down the line to a dole shop near me.

They do have one security guard at the entrance to the door but they generally don't bother anyone.
