Councils and rates (council tax) Empty Councils and rates (council tax)

Post by Ausk Tue Sep 24, 2019 9:56 am

I am trying to help a lady in distress who is being taken to court for non payment of rates because she cannot afford to pay.

I am familiar credit card stuff but as I see it, councils are a tough nut to crack.

The debt has been assigned to a debt collection company although the lady as never received a default notice from the council.

How do i approach this? just like any debt such as a bank loan or credit card is a different approach to councils needed. In Australia you get sent one single rate notice saying you owe $xyz and you have 30 days to pay. A number of people over the years here have taken the councils on and lost and lost their homes as well. I am trying to stop the bastards from taking this lady's house.

She is a true fighter and after all the time i have tried to help people using giving them my knowledge, I now feel totally bereft of any ideas on how to fight these bastards.

What I did learn a couple days ago is that a debt does not give rise to a claim on property. Pretty obvious but a different way of looking at something.

Grateful for any ideas, suggestions advice.
thanks

CT is a hard one ,due to the fraud involved by the council & their fake court & liability orders.
Councils have the discretion to reduce the amount even down to zero. You could give that route a try.
In any event a Freedom of Information request asking how many times have they used this discretion
& the amounts involved ,even down to zero ,would I imagine produce some interesting results.

well done kestral
I followed through all of that and ended up with
https://www.treasurydirect.gov/BC/SBCPrice
put your birth cert or ni no in and hey presto you see all bonds relating.
follow instructions at
https://www.expertinalllegalmatters.com/hmrc-fraud
particularly the last instruct
"https://www.treasurydirect.gov/BC/SBCPrice#nte

If you were born before 1980, you need to change the "Series" dropdown from "EE" to "E" bonds. This is because E bonds run from 05/1952 to 06/1980.

EE bonds run from 06/1980 to present.

The denomination should always be set to 10,000

The account numbers/Birth certificate number/any other unique ref number that relates to you goes in the "Bond Serial Number"

Lastly the issue date, if dealing with Birth Certificates, will generally be your month and year of birth in the following format: 03/1963 if you are going to put NI Numbers/Council tax/court references/bailiff summons, then the date would be the month and year they were issued/sent.

Have fun! Be careful with this guys, it's a lot of information. This has never been done this way before. We are the first.

Also begs the question, yt channel "docker dawson" has also taken down or had taken down his vids on his version of pay by endorsement.

Steve Mcrae's "friend" - Helen there were some good points there if I remember correctly but those have gone too.

Because they were all nonsense and he's been found out?   Equally that bond thing, you can put any number you like into it and the same value is returned,  so clearly the fact that you can get a result from your own number is meaningless.

Hi FF,
I'm not surprised .His videos were the worst presented i've seen anywhere on youtube,
flashing pieces of paper in front of the screen which were totally unreadable.
I attended the Nottingham meeting where he gave his presentation ,the guys arrogance was unbelievable.
