Re: have i left it too late?
No, start the letters.
Got a call from this bunch of clowns a good few months back, and told them to .......off, as I defo didn't owe them anything or anyone else. Also told them if I get anymore calls I will bill them for each call and WILL go and collect. Guy promised not write or call ever again.
Admittedly, what I have wrote here is nice and polite, it wasn't on the phone.

Re: have i left it too late?
thank you both very much! i'll get started tomoro.
they've drove me mad with phone calls and text messages?
one other thing, i was a member on the other website must be a couple years back, (just incase i needed to use it) and on the letter templates it said to sign your name in red ink, does this still stand?

Re: have i left it too late?
start the three letters , you may find they will send it back to their client, when they do, their client may send it to a new DCA ( Debt collecting agency ) just start the 3 letters again ,
Keep us informed.

Re: have i left it too late?
hi. i've got a problem! i went to start the 1st letter and realised that when i uploaded the letter for you to see, i had scribbled out the account number and how much is owed! do i just wait for another letter? it said on the letter exactly what was said in the above post. typical of me!

Re: have i left it too late?
If you don't want to send any letters, ignore them.
If you don't want to send 3 letters then just send them the first letter.
If you want to wait for them to contact you again, then wait.

Re: have i left it too late?
if i send the letters does it matter if my account no and sum owed is on there? only i don't want them to get solicitors involved, i've not read up about that part yet.

Re: have i left it too late?
If you don't want the account no. and the sum owed on there, can't you scribble them out, blank them out, cut them out from the letter?

Re: have i left it too late?
Hey Tiffy,
As Daveiron has said a little more information about your debt would help the good people to give you the best advice they can.
It sounds to me like there is a lot for you to read. Just take it one step at a time, your getting too far ahead of yourself thinking about solicitors. Focus on the task in hand and get them to perform by supplying the information you are requesting by sending the first letter. Then await their response.
Whilst you are waiting for their response, which will most likely be a couple of weeks, you can continue your research but stay focused on the task in hand and face each hurdle as it comes.
What you will most likely find is you have more time to educate yourself than you think.

Re: have i left it too late?
@ man; its not that i don't want them on there, its just i scribbled them out for the purpose of showing the latest letter from akinika on here so no one knew my details. i forgot to write the account number and stuff down before i scribbled on them. i don't think i can print the first template letter out without the account no and other bits on.
