Hi, with the name this group has taken up, can I assume that we're going to be helping those with alleged debts and therefore we'll be having all of the associated forums to cater for these sections? I must admit that I'd like to see the Debts forum in a section of it's own and not split up into lots of minor forums. The problem with the other group, it's that questions were being asked here, there and just about everywhere, which meant that many important questions were remaining unanswered and not through any fault of those helping out those in trouble, but rather that posters were being allowed to post outside the sections intended for debt problems. Smile

was waiting for someone to ask, i dont have much knowledge to advise people so purposefully left it out , also what about the templates etc .
I can make a section but i feel it needs moderators that know their stuff more than me , have a think about a good structure for the debt section and i can do it .see what happens .
This was set up just as a raft , hastily , not necessarily to compete with the other site, but it will be what ever people make of it.

Hi Guys , I dont want to appear pushy but i really think we should be inviting others here.
Whilst i have only been back to GOODF to send pms & grab some info ,i am done with it.
I feel sure many others feel the same & if GOODF suddenly disappears we would have no way of contacting them.

GOODF the essentials Empty Re: GOODF the essentials

What I'd term as key members are essential to get this forum ticking along, by this I mean those with knowledge of the ins and outs of the most important sections of this group. You are right, Dave, inviting those players is a must do and rather than mention names, I'll contact a few who I think the group needs most of all. Of course, you are right, Assassin. Waiting for more members is of paramount importance. Mighty oaks from little acorns grow, as the saying goes. Lopsum, the templates were all recently updated, so these shouldn't represent a problem, although they haven't been updated, as far as I'm aware, on GOODF's intro page. We must include the work done by Againstthesystem(Wolfie), I've personally used some of his work and it achieves more than was initially expected. There are some roads that I consider that we shouldn't touch for now, simply because there is no proof that they work, but they do appear to be getting folks who try them into a lot of trouble. If anyone isn't sure what I'm prattling on about, then I'd be only too happy to pm them. Very Happy

I think we fully understand what you are saying and you certainly are NOT prattling on, just putting a very well thought out point of view worthy of consideration.

Thank you, Assassin. Like every new forum, it takes a little time to get it into motion, but this one is made all the more difficult in that we don't want to advertise it generally just yet. I'm hoping that those I have invited already, along with those I'm lining up to ask, will join us in due course. In the meantime, things are moving and very interesting forums are now taking shape, thanks to yourself of course.Very Happy

Thank you all for the equable and reasoned thoughts so far expressed. GOODF was a real help in a scary world, and having been helped so much myself and seen others find remedy, its great to know that something more focussed is being intended here. Joining by invitation sounds best for the time being. I'm hoping to contribute where I have some tested solutions.

GOODF the essentials Empty Re: GOODF the essentials

Post by landlubber Sun Mar 12, 2017 2:56 pm

Whilst most of us have likely run the gauntlet of the DCA's and I have done so in the past with overwhelming success, I thought it time to turn the tables so to speak, when I had the occasion to make a claim against a multi-million pound corporation. They no more like parting with their money, even when the tables are turned and they have gone against their bible of legislation and acts. I did receive a payment, but not the amount stated in my bill Laughing but at least it was a partial success. It was akin to a corporation taking a low waged man/woman to court and being fined, say £5,000 for that man/woman being on £10 a week. In my case, the person concerned got their corporation to pay, what they paid, while the person to whom the bill was directed paid naff all. What a strange world we live in. Incidentally, this person(correct terminology) breached statute law and contract law, not counting breaches against my safety and life etc. No, they don't like it up them...
