Fractals

http://www.mathcaptain.com/geometry/fractals.html

Fractals are those concepts in mathematics which are quite interesting because it uses the concept of algebra and the concept of complex numbers. Fractals are always made up by applying some functions. Thus, Fractals are those set of numbers which represent some self repeating properties.

Fractal Equations Overview

http://www.fractalsciencekit.com/program/maneqn.htm

Fractal Equations are the programs used to define Mandelbrot Fractals in the Fractal Science Kit fractal generator. Before you begin, please read the Mandelbrot Fractal Overview.

Fractal Tilings of Peter Raedeschelders

http://users.math.yale.edu/public_html/People/frame/Fractals/Panorama/Art/Tilings/Raedeschelders.html

Escher died before fractals were well-known. A natural speculation is what Escher would have done if he had been familiar with fractals.
Enclosing infinite complexity within a bounded space is certainly something one can do with fractals.

Make a Fractal

https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1360458/

Make a fractal! It's easy. Just click on the black to create lines. Click on the "Go!" button to start drawing the fractal based on the lines you made. (The go button appears after you make two lines, but you can make more.) If you need more help, click one of the Tutorial buttons.

The fractal is created by taking the lines that you draw and redraw them on each line. Then it is drawn again on each line of the new lines. Then again on those lines and so on.

Hint: Make space between the beginning and end of the lines. The space covered by the fractal will be bounded if all the line segments are smaller than the space between the beginning and end.

If you make a cool fractal that you want to share, remix this project to draw your fractal. Instructions for doing that are in the Stage scripts. You can see some of the remixes already made.

Fractal Tool

Play with shapes that grow, shrink, and change over several stages. Explore self-similarity and patterns in fractal measurements. Can you see how these shapes are fractals?

Design a Fractal

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/physics/fractal-generator.html

The image of the Mandelbrot set is one of the most recognizable representations of a fractal. But what's behind the entrancing picture? In this interactive, learn a bit about how we generated our version of the iconic image, and make and save your own versions of the set.

How to Create Your Own Fractal-Style Design Using Photoshop

https://webdesignviews.com/how-to-create-your-own-fractal-style-design-using-photoshop/

Fractals in geometric terms, is a pattern or figure that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole.  It is a concept called self-similarity and gives you highly similar patterns even as you close in on its different parts. In the end, the result is a beautiful pattern that looks totally organized or symmetrical, yet fragmented and askew at the same time. That is why some people actually want to use the same “style” of fractals for creative pursuits in print and web design.

In this tutorial, you will learn how to create your own “fractal”-style design. Keep in mind that technically we are not creating a fractal; we are just copying the same aesthetic elements onto our design. Let us get started.
