Submitting defence to court against Lowell Solicitors

Hi all, thank you for your help in the past.

I have to submit my defence by tomorrow. I sent Lowell Solicitars a CCA and Vanquius, the original creditor, an SAR.

Vanquis sent me back more details than Lowell, but both provided a copy of the digital signature application. The credit card was applied for in March 2014 with the account number details.

I notice that in the Notice of Default sent from Vanquis in October 2016, the account number is different to that in the digital signature application.

In Lowell's many harassing letters to me I notice that they too have used this number refering to it as 'Original account number'.

Is this usual or common practice to change account numbers? I do not have my Vanquis credit card anymore, but all I can presume, as they are both 16 digit numbers, is that the account number is in fact the number on the credit card. Since I might have had to apply for a new card after losing a wallet or something, the Notice of Default is using that number (and not the original account number) and correspondence with Lowell also uses the new number, refering to it as original.

Have they made a mistake?

Does anyone know whether the FCA rules of April 2017 can be used retrospectively? I applied for a credit card in 2014 and am being taken to court. There certainly seems to be breach of the guidelines regarding the rapid increase of credit I was given (not asked for) even though my circumstances had not changed (unemployed). Any help appreciated.
