smart water meter draft

This is just a first draft for smart meters. It is far from the finished document,its at this stage just a list of possible points to be included. and  additional input would be welcome from all.


                                 Notice of Conditional Acceptance


To the man/woman xxxxxx acting in his /her personal capacity as C.E.O.  xxx water or incumbent.


With reference to your proposal to fit a smart meter at the above property.

I conditionally  accept your offer to supply and fit a 'Smart water meter' ,upon your
acceptance of my non-negotiable terms and conditions contained herein.

1. That you the Man xxxxx accept full and unlimited personal liability for any and all
   loss,harm,injury or detriment I or others may be caused by your equipment .

2. That if your equipment is connected to or draws electrical power from my internal or external supply ,you will agree to pay the sum of £ 20.00 per day for the use of  said power.
3. That you give your personal undertaking that your equipment is 100% safe .
           ( the production of any study which claims ,shows,believes should not ,or any  
           similar wording that your equipment causes no harm ,is unacceptable. )
           I require evidence that states your equipment is 100% safe.

4. You agree that I have no responsibility whatsoever for the equipment you have at my property,and that I retain the right to install or place any object.
           Structure, device or ornament anywhere I may chose to place on my property
           whether or not it may have effect upon your equipment.
5. You will upon demand remove your equipment from my property within fourteen days  (14) of  said demand,and agree to pay the sum of £50.00 per
   day for each and every day after this time that your equipment remains at my          property.
6. You agree that you xxxxx become the Data Controller and Processor along with all
  liabilities incured as such. Should you delegate this role to another ,you agree that
 you carry full vicarious liability for their actions.
7. You also agree that you will not in any way pass,sell or in any way disseminate any
  data pertaining to me whatsoever.
8. I am prepared by way of remedy, to accept a mechanical meter situated in an accesable location and provide a reading on a quartly basis.

could add:

this NoCA must be sigend by someone who is competent having 1st hand knowledge of the matter, also who takes full responsibility for content of said reply under penulty of perjury etc. the usual stuff & who is prepared to stand in a court of law to press the record.

I would also add:

That you ***** become the data controller and processor of this data along with all its liabilities and you agree NOT to sell, donate, or use this/my data in ANY way and you agree to providing this data only to myself and nobody else.

I think is about ready now, please take a look and make any changes .
If not is it agreed that it should be put in utilities section as a template.

so they could use MY electric supply for their smart meter? my water meter is n the pavement just outside my gate.

You said they wanted to put in a smart meter, The one outside of your
property they can do what they like with. however a smart meter will not
work underground.
Smart meters need power however small the amount is .
Have you done anything about the ones on your property yet ?

TBH I'm not saying its impossible to do but have never heard of a smart meter for water? Only gas & leccy.

There are smart meters for water and they are identified by the outside sensors which are currently read with a machine via bluetooth, they are plastic and about 3"/75mm in diameter and have three raised sections around the edge and look like half a drive coupling. This has space within the three raised sections to house the transceiver, the scanning conection to connect to the 5G grid and one spare.
