Speeding ticket
Afternoon,
Well, after 45 years of driving, I have received a notice of intended prosecution from a camera which was on a bridge.
The day of receipt, I requested a copy of the photograph in order to identify the driver. On receipt It is unclear and does not show whether it is a woman or man.
Do I contest this evidence please?

Re: Speeding ticket
Is the vehicle clear in the photo, definitely yours and not a misread or cloned plate?
They will probably say that all they need to do is identify the vehicle, and that you are obliged to identify the driver for them under RTA 1988 s172.

Re: Speeding ticket
The vehicle is very clear and number plate clear also.
My husband and I were indeed in the area that day but the pictures don’t define it enough to direct us who was driving.
I am thinking that as the registered owner I should take the consequences. Any thoughts? I

Re: Speeding ticket
Sometimes naming the "most likely" driver is the pragmatic option. But don't say that of course, if you wanf to deal with the matter that way then don't express any doubt in your nomination.

Re: Speeding ticket
even if you grass yourself up they still need a 2nd signature on the following document (your consent to...) to proceed further. So no worries there, tell them to f'off (politely) & do 1 as the '£' is worthless in the pursuit of profit, & that profit is deliusional.

don't worry grass yourself up, that in itself is not I beleive an admission of guilt as they require a 2nd signature on different paper work
